My voyage through the realm of writing.
Today, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about how my story with writing started and why I do love writing. I think that this may be an actual inspiration for you to accentuate the things that you think you can do well and how can this leads you to other opportunities.
Why writing, you may ask? Why this rudimentary way of communication when there are more advanced communication channels that I can use to express myself in the wake of social media, vlogging, and more? Depth is the answer. In my opinion, when you read something there is another dimension that’s established in the head of the reader that lets you imagine stuff that the writer is evoking. Due to the lack of an image, your mind starts constructing one. That’s exactly why I like writing. Describing a scene to a reader using the richness of the English language, is my passion.
It all started when I was a little kid reading storybooks. I was navigating through the ocean of words on every page while imagining the characters, what they do, where they go, what they eat and every other detail related to them. It just elaborates some sort of a movie theatre inside of my head. Moving on with the years, the idea of starting to write short pieces where I express myself or describe something to my audience has started to take shape. It was, to me, akin to a challenge to be the director of that theatre I mentioned before.
Medium was a platform that I discovered nearly 4 years ago. It offered me a panoply of tools to write professionally and share my work with the audience. That’s exactly when I started creating my #MindInsight series. A series where I write about whatever comes to my mind. It is a 3-min article format accompanied by a photo as a teaser to the subject. When I started, it was planned to be a weekly thing where I post an article on Sunday evenings. However, in life, you can never predict anything so that target was a hit and miss.
Nevertheless, I always enjoy writing articles and posting them so that I can get feedback from my friends, family members, and even strangers. That’s the whole reason that keeps me going, discussing with others and getting to know new through this passion.
So, if you have a passion that you love to do. Just do it, and you should document it and share it within your circles. It is an enriching experience and can get you to know some valuable acquaintances.
